MHS Summer Baseball Program for Incoming Freshmen
Madison HS is pleased to offer a summer baseball program for incoming freshmen.
Who can participate?
The program is open to all students who will attend Madison HS and intend to play Freshman baseball in the 2019 season.
Is the summer program required for incoming freshmen who want to play HS baseball in the spring?
No it is not. The program is, however, an excellent opportunity for incoming freshmen to play baseball against other area HS teams with the teammates they will have next spring, and under the direction of the Madison HS coaching staff.
What is the schedule?
The program begins the week of June 18th and runs 6-7 weeks. The team meets Mon through Thu only for games, team workouts and supervised strength and agility training in the MHS weight room.
What if my son is also participating on the Little League Summer Team?
There should not be a significant conflict between the HS summer program and the MLL summer team. The timing of the HS program is designed to allow participation on both teams.
What does the program cost?
2018 fees are $300 which covers jerseys, coaches, field fees, equipment and umpires.
